Meet Elisa
Elisa is a trauma-informed Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has worked in community mental health for over 13 years. Elisa believes in a strengths-based, collaborative approach and individualizes treatment for each person to find what fits best for each client.
Elisa is dedicated to anti-racism work and uses a culturally sensitive lens to help others find their strengths in celebrating their unique identity. She is deeply committed to her own healing and growth. Elisa lives in Durham, NC with her partner and son. Elisa enjoys hiking, gardening, and traveling. She loves being outside, dancing, and laughing with friends.

Certifications/The Basics
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Offers counseling to folks, ages 4 and up
Uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Play Therapy
Affirming of all gender identities, gender expressions, and sexualities. Creating a safe and supportive space for LGBTQIA+ and Queer folks
Committed to changing the narrative for BIPOC folks to pursue therapy
Interested in working with folks struggling with compassion fatigue, secondary traumatic stress, work-life balance, parental stress
Experience with a variety of diagnoses such as ADHD, PTSD, Complex Trauma, Autism, Mood Disorders, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
Experience co-facilitating Child Adult Relationship Enhancement (CARE) group classes for caregivers of children ages 2-6
Training in Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) and Problematic Sexual Behavior CBT (PSB-CBT)
